A successful bottle biosphere relies on three core processes:

Fill the rest of the jar with your prepared water. Leave about 1 inch of air space at the top. Place the jar in a spot with indirect sunlight. Let it sit open for 3–5 days. This allows the water to clear, chlorine to dissipate, and the bacterial colony to begin establishing. Bottle Biosphere Guide
