Before any actual drug is repackaged, Millan mandates a media fill test. The facility repackages a sterile growth medium (instead of a drug) under the exact same conditions. If the medium remains free of turbidity (microbial growth) after incubation, the aseptic technique is validated. This is now considered a prerequisite for any repack operation.
