: Detach the wall plate and old switch. Identify your wires: Black : Line (Hot incoming power). Red : Load (Outgoing power to the light fixture). White : Neutral. Green/Bare Copper : Ground. Connect Wires : Use wire nuts to secure the connections. Connect the timer’s Black wire to the Line wire. Connect the timer’s Red wire to the Load wire.
