The headline feature of AutoCAD 2006 was (DYN). Before 2006, users had to look at the command line at the bottom of the screen to see coordinates and distances. With Dynamic Input, tooltips appeared directly at the cursor’s crosshairs.

The command was prone to crashing on complex geometries. Most professionals using AutoCAD 2006 in manufacturing relied on it for 2D detail drawings derived from Inventor or Revit models. As a pure 3D application, it was functional for ductwork and simple mechanical parts, but no one chose it over SolidWorks for organic shapes.

Although newer versions of AutoCAD have been released since 2006, the software remains popular among designers and architects. Some of the reasons why AutoCAD 2006 remains relevant today include:

: Unlike single-line text, you can change individual word fonts, colors, and sizes within the same block. TEXT (Single-line Text) : Creates one or more independent lines of text. for "Dynamic Text") at the command line.
