Founded in Bogotá in 1987 by guitarist Jorge Mackenzie, Neurosis became a cornerstone of the Colombian underground. To avoid legal confusion with the Oakland-based band Neurosis during U.S. tours, they briefly performed as before settling on the name Neurosis Inc. between 1996 and 2002.
