From the sprawling Mayan cities to the dense rainforests, the production design is unparalleled.

The movie revolves around Jaguar Paw (played by Rudy Youngblood), a young man who lives in a Mayan village. When his village is attacked by a rival tribe, Jaguar Paw is captured and taken to the Mayan city, where he is forced to participate in a series of brutal games. With the help of a sympathetic native woman, Luni (played by Natalie Martinez), Jaguar Paw manages to escape and embarks on a perilous journey through the jungle to rescue his family.
