After NHL 09 , EA released NHL 10 , 11 , and so on, but the PC platform was gradually abandoned. By NHL 12 , EA stopped releasing PC versions entirely in North America and Europe. This abandonment left a captive audience of PC hockey fans with no modern options—except to mod the last good version.
